The key to saving bud for re-use later is to never overheat it. You’ll know you over-heated instantly from the near-death choking experience that subsequently follows such a little smoking plume.

So what can you do with this now brownish colored vaporized bud?

1) Edibles: You can turn it into cannabutter using the recipe here! With cannabutter one can put up to 10 grams of vaporized bud into 1 stick of butter (being mindful of the potency of the bud being used, there is roughly 30-40% of that unburnt THC in the vaporized marijuana).

Once the cannabutter has hardened in the fridge I do a betty crocker chocolate chip cookie recipe which uses their mix and that 1 stick of butter. You can do any recipe that requires butter. The possibilities extend as far as butter uses (buttering bread, pasta butter sauce, etc). The key is to avoid the butter from losing potency, do not heat the butter over 375 degrees farenheit because as you already know, it vaporizes at that point.

2) Bubble Hash Oil: One can also use high percentage (90%+) Isopropyl Alcohol to create a Hash Oil from the vaporized marijuana. Simply use the finest grind you can on the vaporized bud and then combine it with Iso alcohol and allow some time to dissolve.

3) Tincture: Medicinal patients choose this method most. It involves using a very high proof drinking alcohol.. Preferably EverClear 190 proof. Combine it with as much vaporized bud to achieve the desired potency. Ideally an eye-drop of alcohol to get you lifted is most medicinal tincture makers goal. Some people directly store their vaporized bud in jar filled with alcohol so they allow time for the grass to ferment into the alcohol. 30 days

Frequently Asked Questions regarding uses for Vaporized Marijuana / Weed / Bud / Ganja

Q) Can you smoke vaporized marijuana?
A) Yes but think and long and hard before you do it because depending on the level of brownness (compared to the original color) the potency and tastes have burned out, it will burn fast and inconsistently in a joint. Truths be told, the taste is disgusting.. But if the vaporized bud is still somewhat green and somewhat moist or flexible it is still potent enough to get somewhat high from (for people with vapes that don’t work!!!). If it crumbles entirely, don’t even think about it. But if your vape fails to heat your plant matter, hope is not lost for you.

Q) What’s the best way to store vaporized weed?
A) Any resealable bag works. Store in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight.

Price: $50 online

Pros:

Cheap

Cons:

Digital read is not accurate

Burns your product

Hard to put more product in without touching the scorching hot bowl (use a glove)

Wooden, smells funny after being on for too long

The reason why I came across this vaporizer was because my friend purchased it on a whim and then proceeded to leave it at my house for the next three weeks, forgetting it every time she was over. Otherwise my taste is too picky for this type of vaporizer, unless you’re looking for one where you don’t have to spend any money, and you kind of get the vaporizing experience, kinda.

The Vaporite Elevation features a wooden tower with a digital temperature read and a knob for temperature control. Inside is a ceramic heating element, and at the top of the tower is a hole for you to place the glass bowl into, at the peak of the heating element. Once you have placed the product in the bowl, you place the tubing on top and inhale.

On this vaporizer, you should aim 20 degrees lower than whatever temperature you are trying to get because the gauge is not very accurate. Many times people have burned their product because they set the temperature too high, make sure you set the temp accordingly.

I wish I could go on and tell you that this vaporizer does great things, but it really only “does the job.” You should buy this if you want to have the vaporizer as you secondary piece and a bong as your primary. But otherwise, take a little more out of your wallet and find something more to your liking.

Da Buddha Vape

Price – $185 in store $170 online

Made by 7th Floor

Designed and Built in U.S.A.

Vaporizers are hard to find at the $100 – 200 range, especially ones that actually work for that amount of money. But alas, Da Buddha (DBV) is the answer for those of us who are strapped for cash, looking for a durable piece, and waiting to vaporize. It’s sleek, inexpensive, and can take a beating.

The cylindrical aluminum housing has the mechanics on bottom and air intake and heating element on top, separate from one another. The temperature knob is silver but you can buy custom ones for around $30. Also, directly above the knob is a happy, plump, friendly Buddha with DBV on his belly. Beware however that the heating element is inside of a glass heating cover that gets extremely hot. I would highly advise against touching it even out of curiosity. Let it be noted however that this is a danger with many vaporizers and is not a flaw of Da Buddha. To vaporize, you insert the glass wand into the heating cover and inhale though the tubing and mouthpiece. An advantage of DBV is that since the glass wand is 5 inches long, you’re able to hold onto it and fill in the tip of the wand without the glass being too hot. Also, the tubing is high quality and bendable. Oh, did I mention that the power cord is 10 feet long? Or that it comes with a padded carrying case made out of hemp? My only qualm is that the heating cover moves from side to side and it would be nice if it was stationary, but that is minor detail.

When using DBV, it will take a week or so to get perfectly accustomed to the temperature knob and your heat preference, but here are a few tips in advance to get you well on your way:

1. At start, turn your DBV all the way up for 2 minutes, no more.

2. After 2 minutes, turn the knob back to around 12 o’clock and fill your wand

3. To clean your wand, DBV gives you a handy metal pick to scrape the screen free of residue.

4. To change your screen, insert the metal pick up the bottom of the wand to pop the screen out. Then take a new screen and insert it through the top of the wand and it will pop into place once pushed down with the metal pick.

5. Always make sure what you’re using is ground up

Overall DBV is a safe choice when choosing a vaporizer. It offers quality, ease, and affordability.

Pros:

Affordable, $175

Safe to touch

Easy to use

Made in U.S.A.

Durable, can be knocked over

10-foot cord allows for placement anywhere in room

Comes with everything you need

3 year warranty

Cons:

Only comes in silver, Black costs + $20

The Silver Surfer, made by the same company has more color and is more aesthetically appealing, but that will run you at least $250
